We're still trying to help Negra get adopted. Negra is being watched by Sowilu who is an active member of our cat forum. Sowilu has posted a lot of information about Negra in the cat forum such as in this thread. Sowilu and Negra are in Robersonville, North Carolina.
Negra has one leg that is injured but she is otherwise healthy and has had all of her shots.

Cats usually will only have the urge to urinate when the bladder is full. In cases of cystitis the wall of the bladder becomes inflamed and each drop of urine that comes into the bladder causes a reaction.
If your cat suddenly becomes very unsanitary this is can be a symptom of cystitis.
If a cat has cystitis they will urinate frequently but in very small amounts. The urine is usually dark colored because of the blood that is in it.
Both male and female cats can suffer from cystitis. If your cat is showing the symptoms of cytitis it is recommended that you take your cat to the vet as soon as possible.

When I was young (8 or 9 I think) I remember having an audio cassette recorder that I would use to record my cat's meows. I would then play back the meows to the cat later and write down his reactions. The idea being that I would figure out what the different meows meant to the cat so that I could speak (and listen to) cat. As you might imagine this didn't work so well.

A few weeks back we received a free catnip sample for Simon from Mountain Lion Catnip and I was absolutely blown away (although not as much as Simon was!) by how powerful this catnip is. It's truly remarkable! The scent was so strong that Simon attacked the envelope that the catnip came in for hours after I had removed it! Litter Box Placement Guide: (or more accurately a guide of where not to place your litter box.)
1. Don't place a litter box somewhere where it's noisy. (example: near washing machine.)
2. Don't place a litter box where people are constantly walking past it. (example: in a busy hallway.)
3. Don't place a litter box near the cats food. Cats usually do not like "going to the litter box" so close to where they eat. Makes sense, right?

This may be the weirdest cat video I've come across yet. In this video a cat owner "spanks" his cat with paddles which the cat seems to enjoy a lot. In fact it's how much the cat seems to enjoy this activity that is most weird.
